Topic: complaining to our kids

It's not easy to be old, despite what they say about the Golden Years.  Mostly, the world ignores you.

Question: should we or shouldn't we complain to our kids?

1 - It's up to you to insure that your later years are productive. If you throw up your hands, then you probably are a person who will complain to your kids. If you carpe diem, then you have no need to complain. (Comment this)

2 - I disagree. I think older people have EARNED their complaints. American society does enough to elide the needs, feelings, and experiences of older people. If raising a ruckus draws more attention to the elderly, good for them! (Comment this)

3 - Not the kids but the kind of society we have evolved into which has turned treating old people as non-persons a norm.

Just discovered your page. I am ninety and am glad to know I got a company. (Comment this)
